Gotta love those casual Fridays! This look right here is a work look believe it or not, because it was the greatest day of the week. This was actually two weeks ago, but better late than never right? I was wearing Aéropostale plaid shirt and boyfriend jeans, a long with my new shoes from Shoedazzle which you saw part of in my look "Clarity". I've been wearing a Gucci watch I found at my grandmother's and the same few accessories lately so you can see those here as well, you can also see the aviators from American Eagle Outfitters and my Miyata bag from Aldo. These pictures were taken with my new Lumia 1020 phone, and can you tell how much better they are from the ones my Nikon camera takes? Only problem is, I'm gonna need to buy some space here for these huge pictures (so worth it). I have another huge announcement, which you can see in my other post of today, so go check that out too! Enjoy!

When I wear something as simple as this dress it's when I feel the most chic and at the same time the most comfortable. I wore this about two weeks ago (i know the post was really overdue) for a Monday at work, which I have turned into my dress wearing days to have something to look forward to besides waking up at 6:00 a.m. to be an hour in traffic. The dress is Rachel Roy and I got it at an awesome sale Macy's had a few weeks ago, I am really liking all of her designs. The shoes are pretty old, they are from Baker's and they were a birthday gift. The purse, which you've seen in quite a lot of my looks is one of my favorites from Shoedazzle. With this simple chic look I decided to wear simple accessories and makeup too. Enjoy! This is a look I would have loved to wear to New York Fashion Week, but instead I wore it to a friend's house for a surprise party. The Joy Division T-shirt, which is one of my favorites (I've worn it over 20 times I think), is from Hot Topic, the black skirt with the pleather ruffle is from Forever 21 and I got it for a steal, the studded ankle boots are from Zara, and the Miyata purse is from Aldo. I think this would have been a perfect look for NYFW because of the classic all black, even though in the last years bloggers were going in much more outstanding outfits, seems like this year the black and white trend brought them back to the traditional way of dressing for fashion shows. With all the Fashion Week happenings, and it being September and all I had to use as a prop or better yet, as an accessory the most important issue of the most important magazine in my life: Vogue's September Issue. This has definitely been the summer of cinema, since so many amazing movies have come out and the Puerto Rican population has been spending most of it's time watching them. Seems there hasn't been much to do because of the strange weather. This Wednesday, which was lady's night (half off the ticket price for me, yay!) I went with Texi to see The Lone Ranger, the only movie we had not watched. It seems like not many people wanted to watch it because the theater was empty, and thank goodness it was. I obviously took advantage of it (although I did not have my Nikon, the iPhone pictures turned out decent). I hope in a near future I'll be able to make an editorial with a location like this. I love movies so much that, you could say I have an affair with them. What I wore to this magical place was the striped tank and the lace-up boots from Charlotte Russe, high waisted shorts from Forever 21, lime knit sweater from Ann Taylor, and the Miyata bag from Aldo. Texi and I really enjoyed the movie (Johnny Depp is the best!), and I hope you enjoy this look! Stay tuned on all that is Sequin Vision by following me on Instagram, Facebook, and Bloglovin'. I'm so excited to present this look to you because I finally got a pair of shoes with the chunky clear heel, and they were practically the last pair! Not only that, they also matched perfectly with the clear Zara clutch I had just gotten recently. I wore this look on Wednesday to Shannan's Irish Pub. Since the place is pretty casual I made the look very simple with American Eagle Outfitters jeggings and a white button blouse from Ann Taylor so the clutch and the fabulous heels from Charlotte Russe would pop out. As I mostly do, I wore gold accessories and natural makeup with a pop of orange eye shadow. I'm loving the clear trend and cannot wait to find more pieces that use it. Enjoy this look, and expect to see those shoes and that clutch much more. I don't know the exact meaning of the quote on this tee, but for me "dressed to the nines" means dressed almost to perfection, and I also think it sounds even better in French. The tee is from Zara, and I got it with the awesome sale they were having along with the orange transparent clutch. The jeans, which you might have seen before are from fabulous K-mart, they are my go-to jeans when I'm trying the boyfriend look. Another important part of this look that I was crazy to show off, is the pair of colorful pumps fromShoedazzle, which I just had to have not only because of the amazing print on them, but also because they are named after...guess who...Frida! I wore this yesterday to The Office, where I was able to finally relax after the war zone I had to go through driving to Texi's house. I love a lot of things of my little island, but the bad driving of these crazy people is outweighing them. I sadly did not get the internship in Washington, D.C. (politics you know how it is) and its been bothering me so much, so it made me sad to be almost harassed by a crazy person driving behind me that thought I cut her off because it made me realize I'm going to have to endure that kind of craziness for a long time. At least I still have about a month of summer left, hopefully that will help me get through this. Here I am rambling, enjoy the look, I hope it inspires you! Here is what might be one of the most important outfits anyone needs to pick out in their lives, the job interview look. This look was for last Friday, the day I had my interview for the Córdova and Fernós Congressional Internship Program in Washington, D.C. I wore a Banana Republic blouse, Anne Taylor crop pants, Charlotte Russe pointed toe pumps, Shoedazzle Blanca purse, and though I did not show it here I wore a Forever 21 blazer as well. I thought this blouse was perfect because blue is the business color (although for a government job this may mean a political party, so careful with that), the print was very feminine and perfect for a day look even though the colors were dark, and the neckline looks very chic. After choosing a top the rest of the outfit was very easy and simple. The hair and makeup was simple as well, hair down and sleek, and makeup concentrated on the eyes with black eyeliner and a little blue eye shadow. I think the interview went well, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!
This post is a little difficult to write since I have so much I want to share, but I'm taking it "one sequin at a time". I wore this look on Wednesday to an interview for an internship at Ego Moda & Estilo Magazine, for which I got the job! The T-shirt I wore is new from O Pium, which I got as soon as I was notified it arrived! I wore it along with new Charlotte Russe pointed toe pumps, for which I did not even need the employee discount because I got them for $10. I also wore my Charlotte Russe scuba skirt, Forever 21 blazer, and my favorite purse of the moment from Shoedazzle. If you've seen my Instagram and Twitter you know I just celebrated my fifth anniversary with Texi, and this is the other big thing I want to share with you, but you will see it in the next post (you should be used to my mystery). Enjoy this look, and get ready for something that shines more than sequins!
Well here I am writing to you incredibly sunburned and procrastinating on an important project, but posting is like my brain food, without doing it I cannot study or do any kind of school work, so here it goes. I wore this on Saturday to a very lovely brunch at Abracadabra in the Ponce de León Avenue in Santurce, which is filled with street art like the one you see here. Recently there was an event I wish would have attended called Santurce Es Ley, which was precisely about contributing to the embellishment of the city with amazing art, and when I say amazing I mean HUGE murals like the ones I'm showing here, credited to elnuevodia.com. Anyway, the place where I had my brunch with Texi and a few friends was amazing, I loved the food, the coffee, the environment, and best of all the Nutella, yum. After eating we all went to El Morro in Old San Juan to fly kites, which was so much fun even in heels and with the powerful sun burning my skin without any protection. I wore to this beautiful day a new sweater from Ann Taylor Loft, which I bought at the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets. The top is from Urban Outfitters, the only piece of clothing I have from there since there is no store here in Puerto Rico and I got it on my trip to Miami last summer (lots of great memories with it). The shorts are from American Eagle Outfitters, the sandals that you saw on my last look are from Valija Gitana and the purse that you also saw in that look is from Shoedazzle. I accessorized the look with an arm full of bracelets of different colors and designs, some from Aeropostale, and the rest were handmade. And now, more pictures, which you might have seen in my Instagram, but for those who don't follow me there find me @fridalorraine.
Well here's a look I should have posted before "No Church in the Wild" since I wore it last Friday to see the movie Trance at the Fine Arts Cafe in the Popular Bank Center, which I love so much because of the comfy leather seats, the yummy desserts and obviously the amazing foreign movies you can only watch there. The film was very good, I definitely recommend it, but be prepared to have your brain tied up in knots. The star of this look is my new bag from Shoedazzle, which I got with their awesome Daily Fix sale and the VIP membership that they have for special customers like me. I was wearing a new top I got from American Eagle Outfitters on sale too, that same Friday I had gone to the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets in Barceloneta so I got a few other things you'll also be seeing here soon. The high waisted bird print shorts and the snake sandals are both from Valija Gitana and the accessories are from Charlotte Russe, except for the arrow ring, which is from Seven by Lu. As always, enjoy and TGIF!
