Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sorry for the no green on this look, but it's not from today anyway. I wore this to work yesterday and as you can see I tried the dutch crown braid again, only this time a little bit messier and more like a headband than a crown. And if you've seen Frida Kahlo you know why this is the name of the look. All that's missing is a uni brow and a flower crown. What I wore was a new maxi dress from Charlotte Russe with an amazing skull design in the back. The gold accessories are also from Charlotte Russe, the purse is vintage from my grandmother's closet, and the wedges are from Lola, which you might have seen here. I also wore this look to class on Tuesday, only with sandals instead of the wedges. It's such a comfy look no matter the shoes, and perfect for this time of year. I hope you enjoy this look, and the St. Patrick's day look is coming soon! Here's a closer look of the hair and makeup:

Hey there fellow readers! Here's a look I wore to go to the university. The semester started a week ago and I have not been getting that much sleep because of all the thinking I always start doing right when my head hits that pillow, I especially think about what to wear the next day ;). I don't think I'm the only person that happens to; everyone should sleep with a notepad and a pen to right down all the ideas you come up with before you forget in the morning. Anyway, I was wearing a few things you might have seen before in my "Neon Pop" look, which are the neon spiked loafers from Shoedazzle and the matching neon spiked necklace from Valija Gitana. This time I wore them with a royal blue top from Forever 21 and the polka dots pants from Charlotte Russe you have seen in my "Polka dots are a walk in the park" look. The sunglasses are from my trip to Miami I had with Texi and his family last summer. These matched perfectly since they have all the colors: royal blue, black and a green that looks almost like the neon lime in the accessories. Finally I wore the white Armitron watch Texi's parents gave to me for Christmas and my trustee Miyata bag from Aldo, which I can't get enough of (you've probably seen it in like ten or more looks) and I hope you can't too. Enjoy this look until the next one!
This is another look with one of the tops I bought at the Shopaholic bazaar, and I just love how colorful it is. All that was ever really missing was that top to hold all the colors together. I've had the mint jeans from Aerie for a long time now and have given them very good use even though they are a little to big for me. The coral blazer is from Charlotte Russe, and I have also used it a number of times because of the color that makes you pop and the shoulder pads give it such a retro feel. You might have seen the coral and gold platforms in one of my first looks, these are from Shoedazzle, actually they are the first pair I bought from the site and I must say I'm a very happy customer. A piece here that is also new is the pink satchel I recently had to get on a pit stop to Forever 21 while looking for my boyfriend's birthday present. Finally the accessories like the 80's style gold and pink triangle earrings and the gold spikes bracelet from Charlotte Russe, the white leather cuff, and the vintage Gucci inspired gold with pink and mint bracelets added that finishing touch. There is still more to come. So many looks, so little time! Enjoy!
This weekend I discovered that I have an obsession with black and gold, hence the name of this post. I realized it so recently because as I decided what to wear to a get together of one of my boyfriend's best friends these colors kept piling up in the accessories I would find. I had just bought the belt you see above at Charlotte Russe and with the urge of wearing the Aldo sneakers (AGAIN!) I had to combine black and gold all over. I new that for the belt to look really nice I had to wear a loose top so sadly I did not wear the gold sequin one you see above, instead I wore a black silky and loose tank top I got a long time ago at Marshall's. I decided I wanted to wear shorts since get togethers are usually very casual and the beige ones I got at Forever 21 with the black pockets went perfectly with the sneakers, but at the last minute I changed to black leggings because I realized the last time I went there I was attacked by mosquitoes. Still, I'm showing the real outfit here ;) To finish up the outfit I added more black and gold accessories like the new spikes bracelet set and leather cuff I bought at Charlotte Russe and the Aldo purse could not go missing since it is the sneaker's soul mate. Here is a post that should have been last week, but I was waiting for the pictures. This is the Look Cyzone contest I participated in and was selected as one of the 30 finalists. The pictures you see here are from the contest website and some from my phone. It was an amazing experience to share a whole day with such nice girls that were like me in some ways but all had their own uniqueness and we were there precisely to show what makes them special to the judges. That was the great thing about this contest, it was not about who's prettier or most popular it was about being extraordinary, confident and knowing you're special. They will announce next Monday the winner who will represent Puerto Rico along with 12 others in Colombia. I think I did a pretty good job in showing who I was and what makes me...well ME, but so did all the other girls so I think we all have the same chance. We'll just have to wait and see. Until then more pictures! I was wearing my "Call me Lola" look with two changes: the locket my grandmother gave me that I wore for "Dash of Orange" and the envelope clutch is definitely new. I designed it to match with the platform lita boots with spikes and was made by an artisan that makes beautiful leather purses for my aunt's boutique. It captured the judges attention really well and completed the look perfectly.
Here is today's look which is mostly new pieces. I just love putting things on for the first time, well who doesn't? The black and gold sneakers and purse are both from the same place: Aldo, and it had to be to match so perfectly. The shirt, which I was actually wearing for the second time, but with the Aldo pieces felt like it was the first, is from Forever 21 and besides the pretty little crosses I also love the little pyramid studs on the collar (little details are so great!) The jeans I'm wearing are actually jean leggings from American Eagle Outfitters and I've worn them so much that I think I've only got two or three more times to wear them before they spontaneously com bust... or tear. The earrings were also a first and they are one of the first pieces of statement jewelry I've started collecting now that I'm pretty much obsessed with crazy and extravagant details. I was really wearing my hair down to hide my neck (birthday bucket list hint!) but for the earrings sake I had to put it in a nice bun to really complete the look. And finally to add a little extra of black and gold I wore my Forever 21 sunglasses.
