Here's a look that I transformed from a day at the office to a night out of fashion events. My day started early at the university, where I attended a TEDx event that was amazing and you can learn more about it at www.ted.com. After that I headed down to work wearing the office version of this outfit which was the same skirt and shoes, and a fuchsia button down shirt instead of the bustier and blazer. There, I was interviewed about Total's internship program for the n-punto section of the local newspaper El Nuevo Día, which was very exciting. After work I changed to the more fashionable attire you see here to go to Galeria Shoes' event "It's a Fashion Bash". Galeria Shoes went all out not just with an incredible sale, but also with a fashion show by Jean Cintrón accesorized by Heel Condoms and Lizet Miró jewelry, and delicious food by SODA Estudio de Cocina, a restaurant I had just visited and loved. After Galeria Shoes I went to another event: Casino Metro's 5th Anniversary Runway presented by Nao Nao Group at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center. The event showcased the Spring/Summer 2015 collections of Custo Barcelona, José Raúl, Lisa Nieves, and P.ERE which is a unique new store in Plaza las Américas that presents women's clothing designed and manufactured in Puerto Rico. Custo's collection was well...very Custo with the bold prints but I believe this was their Fall/Winter 2014 collection since it consisted of outerwear and dark colors instead of the usual bright and shocking ones. My favorite pieces were focused on texture like the black velvet coat with a fringed black and grey skirt, and what seemed to be a wool coat in a grey tribal print. P.ERE had pieces of black, red, and metallic colors. I loved the striped body con dress with the contrast of the sheer fabric flowing on the sides and the A line dress with mixed patterns and sharp shoulders that created such a flattering illusion. The high-low polka dot dress was also a keeper, but the best of all was not a piece of clothing but of jewelry that was a golden spectacle. From José Raúl's collection "Agua de Coco" I barely found anything wearable except for the pieces I'm showing here, which are still not completely to my liking, but then again I'm not keen on men's taste for designer clothes. Finally, there is Lisa Nieves' collection "Colorare", which was filled with, you guessed it, colorful pieces made mainly of lace. I found the color combinations refreshing, even the orange and purple, but my favorite piece was the halter skater dress in shades of aqua with sequinned details. My night was very successful since I not only got to dress up and look at beautiful shoes and clothes, but I also had the chance to meet amazing bloggers like Taryn from Unique Fashion, Teresa from Trend-ish, and Andrea from The Striped Complex. I even bumped into the amazing guy who designed my fabulous skirt, Alejandro Aldarondo. Until the next fashion-filled outing, enjoy all the designer looks on the slide show bellow.
