What a night I had last Saturday! I was able to enjoy the great music of Queen, thanks to a tribute band from Argentina called God Save the Queen. They not only sounded exactly like the band, but they also looked the part. The singer stayed in character the whole night, it was as if he brought Freddie Mercury back from the grave. I sang along with my boyfriend and a couple of friends at Bahia Urbana, this nice little amphitheater in Old San Juan, where you can see the cruise ships leave the island, feel the cooling ocean breeze and hear the music in the best way possible. I went for a 90's style look with a top underneath the spaghetti straps of a sexy slip dress from Zara. I saw the dress styled exactly like this on the store's mannequin, and could not resist trying the look for myself. I was also wearing a pair of ankle boots from Zara and to add even more vintageness I used an old clutch from my grandmother's closet. The look and the night were both incredible, I hope you all think so too, but if you don't than...♪it doesn't really matter♫

If you have been overwhelmed by all the tartan that has been showing up on the street style scene, this look is not for you, but if you’re feeling that Holiday spirit and you have been dying for a casual look that goes with it, then yes this is for you. I wore this look to see Thor 2 with Texi last week, which was great. I wore a new tartan shirt I bought recently at T.J. Max a long with my vintage high waisted denim shorts from Ouna’s Closet. The other new piece here, which you saw in my look “Make it short” is the red purse from Aldo. Finally, to complete the look I wore my studded ankle boots from Zara, only this time I decided to try a trend I’ve been seeing around, which is wearing ankle boots with ankle-dress socks. The pair I’m wearing is actually for men, but I think I pulled it off. Now I just need to get some gray ones that might look even better, what do you think? I would love to see what thoughts you have on this trend, you can comment here or go to my facebook page. Don’t forget to follow on Bloglovin’, Instagram, and Twitter too! Here's another work look from last week. This was on one of those days in which I had no idea what to wear. All I knew was that I wanted to wear a dress so I dug this one out of my mother's closet. I added the sweater mainly so I would not freeze to death in the office, but it also made this dress look a little younger for me. I went for an almost monochromatic look in beige, using this nice pair of pointed toe pumps, and the most perfect Céline inspired bag from Shoedazzle. These pictures were taken by my friend and coworker Eduardo, and there's another look he took that I think you are all going to like. Until the next one, enjoy! Hello again fellow Sequin Visioners! I hope you all had a great month of October and an awesome Halloween, I know I did. Today I want to show a look I wore a couple of weeks ago on a movie date with Texi. Unfortunately, with all the madness of work, studies, and fashion events I had to reserve this look until now. The skirt I'm wearing is actually a very old dress that I realized would match perfectly with this printed tank from Charlotte Russe, and with all the plaid in trend I could and fuller skirts on trend I could not help myself. The top was a little big on me and the bra was going to show either way so why not purposely wear a black one right? I think it adds a sexy Parisian touch a long with the statement earrings and lips. I also wore the Dollhouse biker jacket I got at Marshall's recently, Charlotte Russe black pumps, and a vintage purse from my grandmother's closet. The purse is definitely an interesting piece, not just because of the shape but also because of the mirror inside, which makes it look like an old jewelry box. Paris is always a good idea, especially when it comes to fashion; enjoy! Here is one of my work looks I promised. I wore this last week and it felt so proper with the shirt style, the stockings, and the pumps that I needed to add something to complement the dark colors and make it a little edgier so I had to use my plum colored lipstick from Urban Decay (again!). Also, to show off the collar I wore my hair up in a pony/fish tail (unfortunately not that noticeable in the pictures). This blue dress is from Forever 21 and the shoes are from Charlotte Russe. Blue seems to be very "in" lately according to what was seen at the Emmy's, but obviously I did not wear this because of that, especially since that event happened on Sunday. Still, blue has always been the color for business so expect more work looks with this color. Hope this helps all of you with strict dress codes at work who still wish to look fashionable. Hello again fellow readers! Here's another quick look from last weekend. I wore this to see Riddick with Texi on Sunday. The biker jacket, which I was so desperate to wear, is new from Marshall's, the dress is another thrift item from my grandmother's, and the studded ankle boots are from Zara. I was also wearing my Shame by Urban Decay lipstick, which I am so obsessed with. Ever since I got this jacket I knew I wanted to pair it with a girly dress, so the pink paisley print and the ruffles made this one a perfect choice. There are so many more ways to wear this jacket, I just wish the weather wasn't so hot so I could wear it more often. I'll show you another look with it soon, in the mean time enjoy this one! Well, hello! Miss me? I know I miss posting, but no worries here is a post that I think you're going to like. I'm wearing a dress a thrifted recently from my grandmother's closet, along with a few other things that have been perfect work. Speaking of work, I can't wait to show you a few of my looks I wore there. They are completely different from what I have been recently showing, but still very chic and great to get some inspiration. In addition to the dress I wore my Isabel Marant inspired sandals and my boyfriend's fedora. A very simple, yet edgy, yet comfy look to hang out at a friend's house last Saturday. Well that's it for now, enjoy! Here's a guide to silly and weird posing... nah that's not it, although this post could be useful for some inspiration to do that I guess, but I'd rather you get some inspiration to go on a 90's trend rampage like I have been doing (you might think I'm trying to be Miley Cyrus but trust me I'm not). Still, if you haven't noticed my recent looks have all had a little (or a lot) of grunge with the plaid, the converse, the overalls, the crop tops and now even a black beanie. For this look I wore the denim overalls from Nasty Gal you saw on my look "Overall, I love you", a vintage polka dot crop top I got the other day shopping in my grandmother's closet, Converse sneakers (again!), and the beanie which is from Forever 21. I wore this last Saturday for my sewing class at Ropajes and later I changed into a second look that you will see in my next post. Enjoy this for now ;) By the way, that cutie who wanted to photo bomb me is Cinnamon, good thing we were so matchy matchy with our spots. Ready for a really vintage look? Here it is: A floral baby doll dress from Ouna's Closet (which I got for an amazing sale they were having), Converse sneakers, round sunglasses, an awesome necklace with a tiny jar filled with tiny pearls from Forever 21, and my most recent purchase from Sephora: Shame lipstick by Urban Decay, hence the name for this post. I wore this to a Rock Band party with Texi and the rest of the gang. It was a lot of fun, it had been a while since I played Rock Band, but it had also been a while since I had a full night's sleep so I went to bed earlier than everyone else (it was 2:00 a.m. though) Anyway I think the dilapidated background I used for this look was perfect for a vintage look, so I hope you like it. I also want to know what you think of the lipstick, because you will probably see it in more looks to come! Hey fellow Sequin Visioners! I bet you are thinking I've gone grunge since I've posted a couple of looks wearing plaid shirts, and the last look with the denim overalls from Nasty Gal was the grungiest yet. The only things missing to have a complete look for that trend are all in this one: Converse sneakers, a perfect pair of vintage high waisted denim cut-off shorts from Ouna's Closet, and a top that says it all with "90's Kid" from Charlotte Russe. The plaid shirt from Aéropostale was on my look "Let it be" and the sunglasses have also been seen in other looks of mine. I wore this on Tuesday for the first day of my new semester at Sagrado, which is filled with all sorts of changes now that I added a minor in Digital Journalism and started a full time job at Aon Hewitt as a Customer Service Representative for which I had to change all my classes to night sections. Another change (although not that dramatic) is my hair, which is now with a lighter ombré and redish highlights. The first day of training for my new job was this Thusday, and even though I am little nervous about how hectic this semester is going to be I am really liking this new job. I hope you enjoy this look and I look forward to keep posting even with the new busy schedule. |
