Here is a post that should have been last week, but I was waiting for the pictures. This is the Look Cyzone contest I participated in and was selected as one of the 30 finalists. The pictures you see here are from the contest website and some from my phone. It was an amazing experience to share a whole day with such nice girls that were like me in some ways but all had their own uniqueness and we were there precisely to show what makes them special to the judges. That was the great thing about this contest, it was not about who's prettier or most popular it was about being extraordinary, confident and knowing you're special. They will announce next Monday the winner who will represent Puerto Rico along with 12 others in Colombia. I think I did a pretty good job in showing who I was and what makes me...well ME, but so did all the other girls so I think we all have the same chance. We'll just have to wait and see. Until then more pictures! I was wearing my "Call me Lola" look with two changes: the locket my grandmother gave me that I wore for "Dash of Orange" and the envelope clutch is definitely new. I designed it to match with the platform lita boots with spikes and was made by an artisan that makes beautiful leather purses for my aunt's boutique. It captured the judges attention really well and completed the look perfectly.

This is the look I wore yesterday on a date with the boyfriend and I noticed it got a few stares. Not much of these Lita lace up boots with spikes around in Puerto Rico I guess. And since those didn't have enough spikes I added the bracelet and pink sweater from Charlotte Russe. The skirt is from one of my favorite brands which is Material Girl by Madonna. Finally I added the grey knitted beanie from Pac Sun to be all matchy matchy from head to toe without making it look like a uniform. Enjoy!
