Christmas has sadly passed too quickly and I had not even posted what I wore for Christmas Eve. Here it is! I was wearing a navy peplum mini dress and statement necklace from Charlotte Russe, and the good old red pumps from Payless. It wasn't designer chic or vintage, but it was fancy enough for the occasion. I had a really good time and ate more good food, even though I started getting a cold and could not stop sneezing or feeling congested. That is also the reason why my post have been a little delayed. Next up is my Christmas day outfit, which of course also had some red, but this time not in the pumps.

Here is one of the Holiday party looks I've been so excited to show. This is what I wore last Friday for a very nice, all included party for Isla Lab, which is where my boyfriend's mother works. The party was at Yaya's Wiken and it was a lot of fun. They had a live salsa band, open bar and lots of Puertorrican food like morcillas, bacalaitos, sorullos, empanadas, and most important, lechón! I had to use the Spanglish there because to me nothing can transalte my country's food. Now about the outfit, I was wearing a maxi dress with a flower printed bustier and large pink beaded necklace from Charlotte Russe, red pumps from Payless, which you might see in my next holiday look, and my never-get-tired-of-using Miyata bag from Aldo. I also wore this to work with a more casual feel by loosing the big necklace and adding a light wash jean vest, which is something you can do with practically any dress that seems too fancy, so I plan on using that vest a lot. The next look is coming soon! In the meantime, as always, enjoy this one!
Monday was my boyfriend's birthday, which his family and I celebrated at his house with a nice little dinner and a very yummy chocolate cake. I got him a silver plated chain and a pendant of a anchor with a cross and Jesus along with a box of Godiva limited edition dessert truffles YUM! Later on Tuesday he and I celebrated by ourselves in a romantic dinner at Perrurican, which is where I had this picture taken. Instead of wine we had sangria, and actually it was Sangria Night there so the place was packed, but with much younger folks that made my 23 year old bf feel...well older. Still we had a very good time and I got another chance to dress up. I was wearing a peplum skirt and mustard button down top from Charlotte Russe, Miyata purse from Aldo and the beautiful red pump are actually from Payless and this season they have been getting a lot of use. I love the print of the skirt because you can play with so many colors and as you may have noticed I like to pop out in colorful outfits. Until the next outfit, enjoy!
This Monday, which was a beautiful sunny day in Puerto Rico I went to one of my favorite places to go shopping, the Barceloneta Premium Outlets, for my Christmas shopping. In such a sunny and colorful place I couldn't help picking an outfit that was the same. I'm wearing a turquoise tube top and printed maxi skirt from Aerie, turquoise tribal necklace from Forever 21, orange pointy flats and bag from Charlotte Russe, and round acetate sunglasses from ebay. I also chose this outfit because it is comfortable for long day of shopping and I never get tired of it. I definitely recommend something like this to someone vacationing in Puerto Rico because its boho chic, you look tropical and not like a tourist. I enjoyed myself with some retail therapy, while getting some gifts I needed though I did not get everything. I finished the Christmas list the next day at Plaza las Américas where I got a few things for myself I just can't wait to show off. Like always, there are many more outfits to come!
Last Sunday I went to a brunch with my boyfriend and one of my friends from Casa Lola at a place called Blondas in Condado, San Juan, and boy was it good! My boyfriend and I shared a plate that included the best French toast, the best pancakes, the best bacon, the best potatoes and the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. If you haven't noticed by now breakfast is my favorite food, especially eggs Benedict. I remember going to a very good 50's style Diner in South Beach last summer and there I also had one of the best breakfasts ever. That's it for the breakfast topic for now; let's talk about the outfit. I was wearing new polka dots pants from Charlotte Russe and even though I got a new top to go with it (wait ti'll you see it) I really wanted to pair them with a mustard colored top I also got at Charlotte Russe. Since I wanted to be comfortable I wore my Aldo high top sneakers and of course my Aldo Miyata purse. To add more polka dots or circles at least I wore the black statement necklace that is also from Charlotte Russe and my round acetate sunglasses I got on ebay. It was a fun and comfortable outfit for a fun and yummy morning. Here are more pictures, enjoy!
This is another look with one of the tops I bought at the Shopaholic bazaar, and I just love how colorful it is. All that was ever really missing was that top to hold all the colors together. I've had the mint jeans from Aerie for a long time now and have given them very good use even though they are a little to big for me. The coral blazer is from Charlotte Russe, and I have also used it a number of times because of the color that makes you pop and the shoulder pads give it such a retro feel. You might have seen the coral and gold platforms in one of my first looks, these are from Shoedazzle, actually they are the first pair I bought from the site and I must say I'm a very happy customer. A piece here that is also new is the pink satchel I recently had to get on a pit stop to Forever 21 while looking for my boyfriend's birthday present. Finally the accessories like the 80's style gold and pink triangle earrings and the gold spikes bracelet from Charlotte Russe, the white leather cuff, and the vintage Gucci inspired gold with pink and mint bracelets added that finishing touch. There is still more to come. So many looks, so little time! Enjoy!
Last Sunday was the annual Shopaholic bazaar at the P.R. Convention Center and I assisted it for the first time. It was pretty overwhelming; the moment I got in I didn't know where to start, specially since the first booths looked impenetrable because of all the women scouring through the 3 or 4 racks in the tiny booth. The great thing about this bazaar was that the prices were supposed to be under $50, that wasn't the case in a couple of booths, but I let it pass. I ended up buying three tops, a pair of leggings that I can't wait to show them off, because they are part of what is going to be my "strange, but fabulous collection of pieces" (there are a few additions to this that I also can't wait to show) and a cute tiny infinity bracelet you might have seen on Instagram. Here is one of the tops I bought at the shopaholic, which is from a boutique called Inspirations and it is from a line of clothing called the Clas-sic USA. I wore it with a tribal turquoise necklace and pleather pants from Forever 21, and the Sarita platforms from Shoedazzle.com. There is another outfit coming very soon on the next post that is with another one of the tops. I have already worn all of them this week, which has been a long one filled with a lot of work, stress, and amazing outfits. Ti'll then enjoy this one.
This weekend I discovered that I have an obsession with black and gold, hence the name of this post. I realized it so recently because as I decided what to wear to a get together of one of my boyfriend's best friends these colors kept piling up in the accessories I would find. I had just bought the belt you see above at Charlotte Russe and with the urge of wearing the Aldo sneakers (AGAIN!) I had to combine black and gold all over. I new that for the belt to look really nice I had to wear a loose top so sadly I did not wear the gold sequin one you see above, instead I wore a black silky and loose tank top I got a long time ago at Marshall's. I decided I wanted to wear shorts since get togethers are usually very casual and the beige ones I got at Forever 21 with the black pockets went perfectly with the sneakers, but at the last minute I changed to black leggings because I realized the last time I went there I was attacked by mosquitoes. Still, I'm showing the real outfit here ;) To finish up the outfit I added more black and gold accessories like the new spikes bracelet set and leather cuff I bought at Charlotte Russe and the Aldo purse could not go missing since it is the sneaker's soul mate. There is something about red lips and red shoes that can make any outfit go to the next level. Besides that, what I love about this outfit is the printed high waisted shorts, which I have no idea how old they are, but I found them in a bag of old clothes that I think belonged to my mom, but like most old things I find, I rescue those pieces and reinvent them with the outfits I put together. The top I'm wearing is actually has a Peplum cut, but I was not going to let that stop me from using the stripes, giving the look a nautical feel. Still, there was something missing on that top: a collar. I had recently bought this collar necklace at the same place where I got the neon spiked necklace, Valija Gitana. The rest of the outfit you might have noticed I love wearing, which is the white cuff and the quilted purse that are meant to go together. So there you go: a white, navy, and red look with stripes, daisies and gold. I wore this for a sushi night with the girls, which was so yummy and fun and later a get together with boyfriend and other friends. Here are more pictures, enjoy!
Hello there fellow readers! Here I am with the look I wore last night for a sushi dinner with the parents. The place we went to is called China Club at the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel and I definitely recommend it. We had a roll called Volcano which had scallops and it was sooooo goooood!! Also the one called Baked Alaska (yea at first I though of the dessert) with spicy crab on top was incredible! You may have noticed I love to eat and one of my favorite foods is sushi and I might be having some again this Friday. Wait ti'll you see what I have planned to wear, not just for that night but also tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. For yesterday I wore one of the vintage items from my grandmother's closet which is the crop top with the cute little bows print. This matched perfectly with the bow tie necklace I got at Charlotte Russe, which also matched perfectly with the Aldo purse. The blue crop pants are from Forever 21 and make a good combination of with the navy of the crop top and black from the purse. I could have worn black heels to be completely matched but I'd rather add a little more gold with the pointy toe nude heels I got at Shoedazzle. Beside nude heels look great with almost anything! Until the next outfits, enjoy this one!
