What a night I had last Saturday! I was able to enjoy the great music of Queen, thanks to a tribute band from Argentina called God Save the Queen. They not only sounded exactly like the band, but they also looked the part. The singer stayed in character the whole night, it was as if he brought Freddie Mercury back from the grave. I sang along with my boyfriend and a couple of friends at Bahia Urbana, this nice little amphitheater in Old San Juan, where you can see the cruise ships leave the island, feel the cooling ocean breeze and hear the music in the best way possible. I went for a 90's style look with a top underneath the spaghetti straps of a sexy slip dress from Zara. I saw the dress styled exactly like this on the store's mannequin, and could not resist trying the look for myself. I was also wearing a pair of ankle boots from Zara and to add even more vintageness I used an old clutch from my grandmother's closet. The look and the night were both incredible, I hope you all think so too, but if you don't than...♪it doesn't really matter♫

Christmas in Puerto Rico really is something. Other than having some American traditions like the Christmas tree, we have our own, which usually involve really good food (better than a traditional turkey, trust me), music, and enjoying the nature this island has to offer. This look is what i wore to such a Christmas celebration on December 7th. It was a party my boyfriend's colleagues were having in Vega Baja, which is almost what we consider "campo" or the country, and there we had the best roasted pig or "lechón". Ah, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it, but enough food and now for the fashion. I was wearing a crop top and maxi skirt from Charlotte Russe, a plaid shirt wrapped around me to add some grunge from T.J. Max, and Converse sneakers to give the look even more edge. Finally, as I usually do, I finished up the look with a pair of red lips. I decided to take these pictures with a background that matches what I just mentioned about the relationship with country side and the holidays here; I'm impressed how the back of my house can look almost like an enchanted forest. Until the next look, enjoy! To celebrate the finale of this semester, I present to you a look I was so eager to show, but could not due to all the last minute projects and exams. I wore this to work as most of my looks, and to make it work appropriate I wore the boyfriend checkered shirt from American Eagle Outfitters as a cover up. For some this look might be too busy with the plaid and the checks together, but I thought it was the perfect risk to take and make an awesome combination. What I kept in mind when I combined these two pieces were the colors, which those did match perfectly, other than the many many lines on the prints. I've seen this trending as well, so I could not help trying it because of that. Another trend I love and used here is matching a pencil skirt, this one is my first purchase from Asos and I got it at a steal, with a crop top, which is from Charlotte Russe. I could not help using the shoes of the moment either, which are these lace up heels from Charlotte Russe as well. To finish up the look I added a pop of color on the lips with my Urban Decay lipstick in the shade perfectly named "Anarchy". As always, I hope you enjoy this look and get some inspiration to try it. It would not hurt to get inspired to follow the blog and social media as well ;) Happy Holidays fellow readers! My favorite time of the year has finally begun, and I am so excited to share with you all the looks that make this season so great. It might not be cold enough in Puerto Rico to wear chic coats or play with a lot of layering, but there are still all the events that require awesome fashion since we do have an exaggerated amount of celebrations here. Today, I am showing a work look that can also be great for one of these events and also uses the most popular color of this season which is burgundy. The star of this look is definitely the burgundy skirt with laser cut details, which I recently bought a long with a few new items you’ve seen in my previous looks at T.J. Max. Pencil skirts and peplum tops are a great combination, and I made this pair even better by using a top from Charlotte Russe with laser cut details as well. Finally I had to accessorize with my Shoedazzle burgundy beauties, and my Aldo Miyata bag. Oh and I almost forgot, this look would not be complete without a pair of dark lips, which is also an accessory that is very in this season. I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend, who wouldn’t with all the good food and all the shopping right? Well, that was my case, and I can’t wait to show everything I got. For now, you can get some holiday fashion inspiration with this look, enjoy! If you have been overwhelmed by all the tartan that has been showing up on the street style scene, this look is not for you, but if you’re feeling that Holiday spirit and you have been dying for a casual look that goes with it, then yes this is for you. I wore this look to see Thor 2 with Texi last week, which was great. I wore a new tartan shirt I bought recently at T.J. Max a long with my vintage high waisted denim shorts from Ouna’s Closet. The other new piece here, which you saw in my look “Make it short” is the red purse from Aldo. Finally, to complete the look I wore my studded ankle boots from Zara, only this time I decided to try a trend I’ve been seeing around, which is wearing ankle boots with ankle-dress socks. The pair I’m wearing is actually for men, but I think I pulled it off. Now I just need to get some gray ones that might look even better, what do you think? I would love to see what thoughts you have on this trend, you can comment here or go to my facebook page. Don’t forget to follow on Bloglovin’, Instagram, and Twitter too! As you may already know, this Friday Novemeber 22nd was my 21st birthday. I guess you can say I’m an adult now that I am able to drink in cruise ships and in the U.S., but besides the change in my hair, I feel almost exactly the same. I’m not that surprised, since every birthday I feel like I will go through some life changing event, and the reality is that I always remain the same person. Don’t get me wrong, some changes have happened, but they’re not overnight. Now, without further a do, I present to you my official birthday look, even though I actually wore it the day before to celebrate with my parents and Texi at an amazing restaurant called 1919 in the Vanderbilt Hotel at Condado. I was wearing a Zara top with quilted leather shoulders that have a Star Trek feeling, but to me it was more of a badass futuristic biker feeling. I paired it with the Bebe pencil skirt that you saw on my Tartan-tastic look, and the new lace up heels I got at Charlotte Russe. I also used my Blanca purse from Shoedazzle, which is always a good choice. Here you can see the subtle ombré I mentioned in my last post, which I bet is going to be very trendy right now. I decided this was my official birthday look since the rest of the weekend I was dressed down relaxing at the beach house with my friends. It was an amazing weekend, and I am so happy I was able to share this with so many great people. Next up is the celebration with my whole family at Thanksgiving. Surprise! This is the change I was referring to on my last post. I had decided for my birthday to make a bold change, and not only does it look more chic but hopefully it will restore my hair, which was becoming weak and unhealthy. You can’t see it here, but I added a subtle ombré to the new cut since I had gotten rid of the one I had, and I can’t wait to show it off here. This look you see here is what I wore last Saturday, which was the day I actually made the hair change. I was wearing a very cute lipstick print top and striped sweater from T.J. Max I recently got, along with a pair of jeggings from American Eagle Outfitters, Payless red pumps, and an amazing red purse I bought that very same day from Aldo on sale. To finish the look I obviously had to match with red lips, and the hair was already perfectly styled. Later that night I went out with Texi and got some very much needed beers. It was very good day, now all I need is an even more amazing birthday, which is tomorrow. Enjoy! If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I made a big change in my look, but you're not seeing that change here. The reason I'm letting you know is because this might be the last look were you'll see me like this, and although I am gonna miss it, it really was time for change. Anyway, this week is my 21st birthday and I say week because I celebrate the whole 7 days. I can't believe how quickly time has passed, I guess that's why I named this look this way. I wore this to work, even though it might not look like your typical work outfit. I wanted to try something very trendy right now, which is dark florals and mixing tartan with other prints. This combo was perfect thanks to all the colors on my Material Girl skirt. I was able to play with the purple, the pink, and even the olive green in the tartan top from Ann Taylor by adding a jacket from Charlotte Russe that definitely did the trick. Finally I used my trusty studded ankle boots from Zara to complete this look. These pictures were taken by another coworker of mine and I thank her so much for them. Enjoy! Hello again fellow readers. Today I'm sharing with you yet another work look, only this one is a little edgier since this was on a casual Friday. People take advantage of casual Fridays to wear jeans, but I chose to wear these awesome pleather pants from Forever 21, along with a chambray button down from PacSun under an Old Navy sweater I got recently, and these awesome shoes, which are also new from Charlotte Russe. This will be a quick post today, but I hope you still enjoy it. Here's another work look from last week. This was on one of those days in which I had no idea what to wear. All I knew was that I wanted to wear a dress so I dug this one out of my mother's closet. I added the sweater mainly so I would not freeze to death in the office, but it also made this dress look a little younger for me. I went for an almost monochromatic look in beige, using this nice pair of pointed toe pumps, and the most perfect Céline inspired bag from Shoedazzle. These pictures were taken by my friend and coworker Eduardo, and there's another look he took that I think you are all going to like. Until the next one, enjoy! |
