Ready to get down to business? Here is yet another look I wore to work and also using blue. The blue striped shirt is from Marshall's, the white fancy pants are Lafayette 148 (another acquisition from my grandmother's), and the shoes are new from Shoedazzle. Hopefully, you'll see the shoes completely in another look, they are amazing! For now, enjoy this look and please check out the other post of the day about a very fashionable event here.

This is a look I would have loved to wear to New York Fashion Week, but instead I wore it to a friend's house for a surprise party. The Joy Division T-shirt, which is one of my favorites (I've worn it over 20 times I think), is from Hot Topic, the black skirt with the pleather ruffle is from Forever 21 and I got it for a steal, the studded ankle boots are from Zara, and the Miyata purse is from Aldo. I think this would have been a perfect look for NYFW because of the classic all black, even though in the last years bloggers were going in much more outstanding outfits, seems like this year the black and white trend brought them back to the traditional way of dressing for fashion shows. With all the Fashion Week happenings, and it being September and all I had to use as a prop or better yet, as an accessory the most important issue of the most important magazine in my life: Vogue's September Issue. Finally I can catch a breath and spread a little fashion love this week. This look is what I wore last Saturday for a family gathering to celebrate my grandparent's 55th wedding anniversary. The star of this look I would say is the statement necklace from Forever 21 that looks like something from Transformers. Along with this I wore a black fedora from American Eagle Outfitters, grey top from Marshall's, Kylie boyfriend jeans from Aéropostale, and studded black boots from Zara. In these photos you can tell my hair is looking more red, which i mentioned in my last post that was one the changes for this new semester. The other change I mentioned, which was the new job at Aon is looking very good, I am really liking the place. Also, I would like to add that I started taking sewing classes so i can take my love for fashion to the next level. I am so excited and cannot wait to make my own clothes! That's all for now, enjoy this look and have a great Labor Day Weekend. Hey fellow Sequin Visioners! I bet you are thinking I've gone grunge since I've posted a couple of looks wearing plaid shirts, and the last look with the denim overalls from Nasty Gal was the grungiest yet. The only things missing to have a complete look for that trend are all in this one: Converse sneakers, a perfect pair of vintage high waisted denim cut-off shorts from Ouna's Closet, and a top that says it all with "90's Kid" from Charlotte Russe. The plaid shirt from Aéropostale was on my look "Let it be" and the sunglasses have also been seen in other looks of mine. I wore this on Tuesday for the first day of my new semester at Sagrado, which is filled with all sorts of changes now that I added a minor in Digital Journalism and started a full time job at Aon Hewitt as a Customer Service Representative for which I had to change all my classes to night sections. Another change (although not that dramatic) is my hair, which is now with a lighter ombré and redish highlights. The first day of training for my new job was this Thusday, and even though I am little nervous about how hectic this semester is going to be I am really liking this new job. I hope you enjoy this look and I look forward to keep posting even with the new busy schedule. Continuing on the looks I wore last week, here is the one for last Thursday. On this day I went to have lunch at Perurrican with my great grandfather, which is always a treat and a yummy experience. I had what I always order there which is the ceviche (just mentioning it makes my mouth water). I definitely recommend it! I was wearing a striped dress from Charlotte Russe, a new palm tree print shirt and hat from American Eagle Outfitters, and the Isabel Marant inspired sandals you saw in my look "Back in Black". This look is still pretty summery and it was perfect for the strong sun that was out that day. There are still more looks from last week to come, enjoy this one in the mean time. Last week was one filled with all sorts of activities that left me with no time for a post, but finally I can share with you all that I did and the looks that I wore, so prepare yourselves for a long post. First I am sharing with you a look I wore on Wednesday to have lunch with my two best friends Ana and Viviana at Macaroni Grill. I was wearing my white cotton dress from Charlotte Russe, a new Aeropostale plaid shirt, new boots from Zara, my Aldo Miyata bag, and a few new accessories like my OMG midi ring from Aldo, an arrow bracelet and a hanger necklace from Forever 21. After having lunch and doing a little shopping at Plaza las Américas we went to Ben and Jerry's where I took the picture above, and also where I got the name for this look (notice all The Beatles posters). I wasn't completely satisfied with it so I also took a few pictures back home. After that Vivi and I had a few beers along with Texi and a few friends at The Office. I am also including here a few pictures of the awesome adventure Texi and I had last Sunday, August 4 at the Camuy River Cave and La Cueva del Indio in Arecibo. The day was so beautiful and the sites were even more. It might have been fun to do it in a group, but it was so special just the two of us, and I can't wait to do something like that again. Internal tourism is so important, especially in a island like Puerto Rico, where it's size does not limit the great diversity of ecosystems. We have amazing rivers, tropical forests, mountains, caves, beaches, and even deserts to explore right here at such an easy to reach distance we should all take advantage of. So to all the local and non local tourists: get out there, but for now enjoy the pictures ;) The rest of the looks and stories of last week are to be continued... This Wednesday I went once again to Plaza las Américas, but this time it was just to see Grownups 2, which was pretty hilarious. I wore this all black look that included a pleather peplum top from Charlotte Russe, a pair of black high waisted shorts from Forever 21, and the newest addition to my shoe closet, which is a pair of gladiator-ish black studded sandals. I bought them on Ebay as I searched for the most similar to the Isabel Marant sandals that I have seen throughout the blog scene (Sincerely Jules, Song of Style, and The Blond Salad) Obviously I could not afford the $1,035 pair that you can buy at Net-a-porter (the ones in the picture below), so I got the pair you see on me for $25 instead. At least, a girl with non-designer affordability like me can still be ahead of the trends, thanks to Ebay. They were not easy to find, but with enough determination and a quick click you can them too. Enjoy! When I see lace, especially in a bustier like this one, the first thing that comes to my mind is romance, hence the name for this look. I had finally found the bustier of my dreams at the vintage boutiqueOuna's Closet, and I got it with a 30% discount (wuju!), there were many sale items, but sadly I could only pick one. I was between this bustier and a denim playsuit, but soon I will come back and hopefully find even more beautiful items. I wore this to Shannan's on Wednesday, which was like Texi said "our billionth date". I paired the lovely bustier with my high waisted denim shorts from Seven by Lu, and my new blazer from Forever 21, along with my cobalt sandals from La Defensa, which you also saw in my "Land of the Free" look. Lately I have been obsessed with the color cobalt blue, so expect to see more looks with it, and definitely another look with this bustier. This has definitely been the summer of cinema, since so many amazing movies have come out and the Puerto Rican population has been spending most of it's time watching them. Seems there hasn't been much to do because of the strange weather. This Wednesday, which was lady's night (half off the ticket price for me, yay!) I went with Texi to see The Lone Ranger, the only movie we had not watched. It seems like not many people wanted to watch it because the theater was empty, and thank goodness it was. I obviously took advantage of it (although I did not have my Nikon, the iPhone pictures turned out decent). I hope in a near future I'll be able to make an editorial with a location like this. I love movies so much that, you could say I have an affair with them. What I wore to this magical place was the striped tank and the lace-up boots from Charlotte Russe, high waisted shorts from Forever 21, lime knit sweater from Ann Taylor, and the Miyata bag from Aldo. Texi and I really enjoyed the movie (Johnny Depp is the best!), and I hope you enjoy this look! Stay tuned on all that is Sequin Vision by following me on Instagram, Facebook, and Bloglovin'. I'm so excited to present this look to you because I finally got a pair of shoes with the chunky clear heel, and they were practically the last pair! Not only that, they also matched perfectly with the clear Zara clutch I had just gotten recently. I wore this look on Wednesday to Shannan's Irish Pub. Since the place is pretty casual I made the look very simple with American Eagle Outfitters jeggings and a white button blouse from Ann Taylor so the clutch and the fabulous heels from Charlotte Russe would pop out. As I mostly do, I wore gold accessories and natural makeup with a pop of orange eye shadow. I'm loving the clear trend and cannot wait to find more pieces that use it. Enjoy this look, and expect to see those shoes and that clutch much more. |
