Finally I can catch a breath and spread a little fashion love this week. This look is what I wore last Saturday for a family gathering to celebrate my grandparent's 55th wedding anniversary. The star of this look I would say is the statement necklace from Forever 21 that looks like something from Transformers. Along with this I wore a black fedora from American Eagle Outfitters, grey top from Marshall's, Kylie boyfriend jeans from Aéropostale, and studded black boots from Zara. In these photos you can tell my hair is looking more red, which i mentioned in my last post that was one the changes for this new semester. The other change I mentioned, which was the new job at Aon is looking very good, I am really liking the place. Also, I would like to add that I started taking sewing classes so i can take my love for fashion to the next level. I am so excited and cannot wait to make my own clothes! That's all for now, enjoy this look and have a great Labor Day Weekend.

To finish off my posts from last week's adventures here I share the outfit I wore on Friday to see the Ropajes fashion show. This show included designs by Namibia Viera, the daughter of Vilma Martínez who is the founder of Ropajes. They have both worked on a number of projects for plays, films, TV, and of course their own collections, which are amazing. The main event of the show was the presentation of the designs made by the students of Ropajes, which included boys and girls of ages 7 and up. All of them showed incredible talent, and you can tell the education they received was great. We also saw swimsuit designs by Nahir Sarí, Gisela Correa, Lorel Torres, and Shirley Fred, all graduated from Ropajes. Awards were given to these students who were judged by Cristie Trigo, Stylist for CARAS magazine, renowned designer David Antonio, and avowed Top Model and owner of Element Agency, Ann La Place. For this great event I wore a new fine china print pencil skirt from Forever 21, and my neon top from Opium you also saw in this look. The perfect shoes for this look were of course my cobalt sandals with the chunky heel from La Defensa, which you can see here. I was also wearing accessories from Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Aldo. After the show Ana and I picked up Texi and we went to Yaya's as we were dying of hunger so the wait for the sushi to reach the table felt like forever, but at least we ended the night right. The other pictures I'm sharing with you are from the weekend, which I spent it in Guanica. If you follow me onInstagram you might have seen these already, if you're not following me what are you waiting for? Enjoy these anyway! Last week was one filled with all sorts of activities that left me with no time for a post, but finally I can share with you all that I did and the looks that I wore, so prepare yourselves for a long post. First I am sharing with you a look I wore on Wednesday to have lunch with my two best friends Ana and Viviana at Macaroni Grill. I was wearing my white cotton dress from Charlotte Russe, a new Aeropostale plaid shirt, new boots from Zara, my Aldo Miyata bag, and a few new accessories like my OMG midi ring from Aldo, an arrow bracelet and a hanger necklace from Forever 21. After having lunch and doing a little shopping at Plaza las Américas we went to Ben and Jerry's where I took the picture above, and also where I got the name for this look (notice all The Beatles posters). I wasn't completely satisfied with it so I also took a few pictures back home. After that Vivi and I had a few beers along with Texi and a few friends at The Office. I am also including here a few pictures of the awesome adventure Texi and I had last Sunday, August 4 at the Camuy River Cave and La Cueva del Indio in Arecibo. The day was so beautiful and the sites were even more. It might have been fun to do it in a group, but it was so special just the two of us, and I can't wait to do something like that again. Internal tourism is so important, especially in a island like Puerto Rico, where it's size does not limit the great diversity of ecosystems. We have amazing rivers, tropical forests, mountains, caves, beaches, and even deserts to explore right here at such an easy to reach distance we should all take advantage of. So to all the local and non local tourists: get out there, but for now enjoy the pictures ;) The rest of the looks and stories of last week are to be continued... Hello, fellow readers! I hope you all had a nice weekend, and I hope that you are all enjoying the last days of summer like I am (oh how I wish it would last forever). This look you see here is what I wore on Thursday to see The Wolverine, which was awesome! I was wearing my irresistible Zara culotte shorts or skort (I still don't know which one it's called), with a simple gray top from Marshalls, which is so comfy and handy for a simple chic look like this, and I decided to use the trend of having a shirt tied around the waist adding some color and edgyness. I was inspired mainly by a look by Sincerely Jules, she has a few awesome outfits with a similar gray T-shirt, one of them paired with a plaid shirt and a white skirt, so I tried my own version of it. These pictures were taken by Texi during the weekend on my parent's house in Rincon where there is the most beautiful view of a sunset. Unfortunately the weather was not as beautiful, still I had some fun taking these as you can see. Enjoy! Well I hope you are ready for this look, which I was saving for a night I knew would be special, but was still surprised at how amazing it was. I wore this to celebrate my fifth anniversary with Texi, for which we went to a very fine restaurant called 1919 in the Vanderbilt Hotel in Condado. The place was stunning, the food was delicious, they had the best craft beer I have ever had, and the service was incredible. We ordered a prix fix menu that included three courses, but in addition to that we got a free yummy appetizer (see my Instagram for foodporn pics) and two glasses of Billecart-Salmon Champagne. When the dessert came, a very shiny little present came along with it! It was a pre-engagement ring that left me speechless. The night was definitely very special, and to celebrate we even got a free bottle of wine too. I was so glad I had saved this outfit for this. I wore Charlotte Russe lace bustier and maxi skirt a long with the Sarita turquoise platforms from Shoedazzle. There is nothing more romantic than lace, especially in such a soft color as baby blue. To add more romance I did my makeup with blue smokey eyes and nude lips. Here are a few pictures of the look and of the night I will never forget. Oh that reminds me: Happy Memorial Day!
Here's a look I was very anxious to show off, because neon green is one of my favorite colors. It is kind of difficult to say which piece of the outfit is the star, since the top, the shoes, the necklace, and even the nails all scream "LOOK AT ME!", but I would have to say for me it is the top, which is my first buy from O Pium, an awesome boutique with the most unique and attention grabbing clothing and accessories you'll ever find in Puerto Rico. It might sound exaggerated, but that's how much I loved it, and for that I have to thank Jana Rose Carrero from OJ and Cigs, for posting a fabulous purse from that boutique and making me find out more about it. The only piece of this outfit you have seen before is the pair of BCBG neon pointed toe pumps I got at Marshalls for a steal. The pants are new from Aeropostale, and they're so comfortable; I was told twice that they looked like work out pants, but I worked those work out pants! Finally the statement colored rhinestone necklace is from Valija Gitana. I wore this super bright look to Plaza las Américas and later to Old San Juan where I hung out with friends at La Taverna Lúpulo, a great place to have a beer and take pictures because of the awesome wall decorations like the one you might have seen in my Instagram with all the beer quotes. One of my favorites was from Winston Churchill: "I may be drunk, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."
Well here's a look I should have posted before "No Church in the Wild" since I wore it last Friday to see the movie Trance at the Fine Arts Cafe in the Popular Bank Center, which I love so much because of the comfy leather seats, the yummy desserts and obviously the amazing foreign movies you can only watch there. The film was very good, I definitely recommend it, but be prepared to have your brain tied up in knots. The star of this look is my new bag from Shoedazzle, which I got with their awesome Daily Fix sale and the VIP membership that they have for special customers like me. I was wearing a new top I got from American Eagle Outfitters on sale too, that same Friday I had gone to the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets in Barceloneta so I got a few other things you'll also be seeing here soon. The high waisted bird print shorts and the snake sandals are both from Valija Gitana and the accessories are from Charlotte Russe, except for the arrow ring, which is from Seven by Lu. As always, enjoy and TGIF!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sorry for the no green on this look, but it's not from today anyway. I wore this to work yesterday and as you can see I tried the dutch crown braid again, only this time a little bit messier and more like a headband than a crown. And if you've seen Frida Kahlo you know why this is the name of the look. All that's missing is a uni brow and a flower crown. What I wore was a new maxi dress from Charlotte Russe with an amazing skull design in the back. The gold accessories are also from Charlotte Russe, the purse is vintage from my grandmother's closet, and the wedges are from Lola, which you might have seen here. I also wore this look to class on Tuesday, only with sandals instead of the wedges. It's such a comfy look no matter the shoes, and perfect for this time of year. I hope you enjoy this look, and the St. Patrick's day look is coming soon! Here's a closer look of the hair and makeup:
Here is what I wore last Friday for the ever famous Calles de San Sebastián, another Christmas holiday tradition in Puerto Rico, or another excuse to get really drunk (though I did not do that). I went with Texi on train and bus. I think we spent more time trying to get to the San Sebastián than actually spending time there. Still, I had a pretty good time with him and his friends when we finally found them. I was wearing a wolf print muscle tee from Zara, high waisted denim shorts from Seven by Lu, thigh-length grey tights from Romwe and black military boots from Charlotte Russe. Also, the bangle with spikes that I'm wearing was a gift from my grandmother Mamia (my father's mother, who has amazing taste in jewelry) that she got at a store called Tiffany's Plaza (don't confuse it with the real Tiffany's). I took these pictures in the back of my back yard (looks like actual wilderness doesn't it?) And I liked so many of the pictures I'll post them all. Enjoy my fellow readers!
Here is today's look which is mostly new pieces. I just love putting things on for the first time, well who doesn't? The black and gold sneakers and purse are both from the same place: Aldo, and it had to be to match so perfectly. The shirt, which I was actually wearing for the second time, but with the Aldo pieces felt like it was the first, is from Forever 21 and besides the pretty little crosses I also love the little pyramid studs on the collar (little details are so great!) The jeans I'm wearing are actually jean leggings from American Eagle Outfitters and I've worn them so much that I think I've only got two or three more times to wear them before they spontaneously com bust... or tear. The earrings were also a first and they are one of the first pieces of statement jewelry I've started collecting now that I'm pretty much obsessed with crazy and extravagant details. I was really wearing my hair down to hide my neck (birthday bucket list hint!) but for the earrings sake I had to put it in a nice bun to really complete the look. And finally to add a little extra of black and gold I wore my Forever 21 sunglasses.
