You have probably noticed by now that I'm a sucker for black and white outfits and also lately I can't stop creating looks with this amazing pair of high waisted jeans from Garage. For girls who are booties like me, which according to the Urban Dictionary means: A woman with an ass that is healthy and fleshy from a bit of jiggle to firm but always tasty, these types of bottoms are the best to flaunt our asset. I wore this a while a go to hang out with my friend Vivi at La Placita in Santurce, which is the go to place for those Thirsty Thursdays (although I miss the real thing back in Albany). I was wearing a tribal crop top I bought in Forever 21 at Albany (another memento) along with the lace bralette I showed you in my last look. The lace up heels that you have also seen in a bunch of my looks are from Charlotte Russe and the Hat is from American Eagle Outfitters, which I actually only used for the pictures since hanging out with it in this heat is not very practical. Well, enjoy this look and keep on shining Sequin Visioners!

Hello again dear readers! I'm so happy to show you an outfit I had been waiting to wear to an exciting night out. The main part of the look is this pair of printed shorts with lace details from Bad Fashion For Bad People, a boutique and online shop I heard about for a while and finally got to see for myself this summer. The same day I brought these shorts home I also purchased this bicycle from a garage sale, but don't worry I didn't get it just for show, I've actually taken it for a few spins around the beach and a great park I have near home. I wore the shorts with a silky tank top on top of a romantic bralette from Forever 21 and a pair of beige sandals from Valija Gitana. I took this look for a spin without the bike to a night out with my friend Natasha. We went to a very edgy place in Santurce called La Respuesta, where music, art, and fashionable people meet. After watching the live art and live band Natasha and I also enjoyed some traditional Puerto Rican fun, which means going to a chinchorro, having a beer, dancing a little salsa and playing some pool (by this time my legs were hurting and so was my confidence to play with her) so I just watched that part. I always worry about wasting a good outfit on a bad night, but that definitely did not happen and I'm so glad it didn't. I'm so grateful for having such a good friend. Here's and oldie but a goodie. I wore this look while staying with my friends Ana and Viviana at El Conquistador Resort at the end of May (I can't believe it's already July) and I decided to finally post it because at first I didn't like the pictures, but I guess now I do. That's just the way I am and have been especially since I got back from studying abroad, a crazy mind changing machine. Up to recently the changes were only going on in my mind because I didn't have the courage to make them a reality, but as I mentioned in my last post I started focusing more on bettering myself through healthy decisions, not just for my body. One big decision I just made is to be alone (yes, that means I'm single). Of course it wasn't easy leaving such a big part of my life behind, but I felt I had to if a truly wanted to enjoy all that life has to offer me especially in my 20's. What I had was real love and nothing is going to change that or make me forget it, but the experiences I've had so far have made me realize I wasn't truly happy and I was not going to be able to love until I had a chance to get to know and love myself first. I know this might all sound "cursi" as we say in Spanish, but I can tell it's how many people my age must feel. So there you have a reflexive post for all you single girls and all of you who are afraid to be. |
