Well I hope you are ready for this look, which I was saving for a night I knew would be special, but was still surprised at how amazing it was. I wore this to celebrate my fifth anniversary with Texi, for which we went to a very fine restaurant called 1919 in the Vanderbilt Hotel in Condado. The place was stunning, the food was delicious, they had the best craft beer I have ever had, and the service was incredible. We ordered a prix fix menu that included three courses, but in addition to that we got a free yummy appetizer (see my Instagram for foodporn pics) and two glasses of Billecart-Salmon Champagne. When the dessert came, a very shiny little present came along with it! It was a pre-engagement ring that left me speechless. The night was definitely very special, and to celebrate we even got a free bottle of wine too. I was so glad I had saved this outfit for this. I wore Charlotte Russe lace bustier and maxi skirt a long with the Sarita turquoise platforms from Shoedazzle. There is nothing more romantic than lace, especially in such a soft color as baby blue. To add more romance I did my makeup with blue smokey eyes and nude lips. Here are a few pictures of the look and of the night I will never forget. Oh that reminds me: Happy Memorial Day!

This post is a little difficult to write since I have so much I want to share, but I'm taking it "one sequin at a time". I wore this look on Wednesday to an interview for an internship at Ego Moda & Estilo Magazine, for which I got the job! The T-shirt I wore is new from O Pium, which I got as soon as I was notified it arrived! I wore it along with new Charlotte Russe pointed toe pumps, for which I did not even need the employee discount because I got them for $10. I also wore my Charlotte Russe scuba skirt, Forever 21 blazer, and my favorite purse of the moment from Shoedazzle. If you've seen my Instagram and Twitter you know I just celebrated my fifth anniversary with Texi, and this is the other big thing I want to share with you, but you will see it in the next post (you should be used to my mystery). Enjoy this look, and get ready for something that shines more than sequins!
Happy Saturday fellow readers! I am in an incredibly good mood since I finally got a Saturday off from work and it is the first weekend of what I hope to be an incredible summer, even though I haven't exactly planned anything (I do plan a few shopping trips). Here is another summer look sans shorts. Depending on the material, leggings are great for covering your legs in the summer heat. I wore this yesterday for work, but with flats instead of the white lace Lita boots you see here, which I've been yearning to wear again. You've probably seen the top from Charlotte Russe and the leggings from Foerever 21 separately in other looks. Together these pieces make an unexpected combination that is why I called the look sugar and cyanide. I would like to take advantage of this post to announce that I finally created a Facebook page for the blog, so please like it HERE to get all the updates ;) Thanks for all the support!
I don't know if you would consider this a summer look since the galaxy print has been around for a while now, and I am sans shorts. Still, I think it is a trend that will be around for a while longer so here I am wearing them to catch The Great Gatsby movie. Let's just say I will be watching it again because I cannot get enough of Leo. I had not even finished reading the book, but I couldn't wait. Along with theRomwe sunset glow print leggings, I was wearing a top from Seven by Lu, white sneakers from Aeropostale, and new blue mirrored aviators from American Eagle Outfitters. I looked more like I was going to watch Star Trek because of the outer space motif, but I didn't have anything that looked 20's (if I had, trust me I would have worn it to go along with the theme of the film). Enjoy!
Ahhhhhh yes my summer has begun! I am finally done with the semester and my second year of the university. I am still a little worried about the grades, I even had a nightmare last night where I got E's and even G's as grades (that's how I knew it was dream though). Still I was able to sleep until noon today and now I feel like I can take on the world. Here I show you the look I wore for Mother's Day, which I spent at Rincon. So I definitely had to wear something tropical. I was wearing an all Charlotte Russe look, with the main character being the kaleidoscopic print shorts. I had first seen a similar pair in the blog Nany's Klozet and when I saw them at work I just had to get them. The look was so comfortable that I wore it the whole day and even caught the famous Rincon sunset along with Texi and some good o'l beers. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and expect to be bombarded by summer looks from now on. Be sure to check out my Instagram or follow me @fridalorraine to see an extra pic from Rincon ;)
...and let me play among the stars. One of my favorite songs from Frank Sinatra is this one, it always reminds me of a glamorous night in a city like New York, which sadly I have only visited in my dreams and in movies like Wall Street that I am actually watching right now (the last movie with Shia Labeouf, one of my favorite actors). In some way this inspires the look before you, the black and white, the peplum shape, and the detailed print in the leggings along with the detailed shape in the black heels. The top and the heels are from Charlotte Russe, and the leggings, which you have seen in my "It's not vulgar if it's fashion". I wore this look for work and it got a few glances, stares and even good feedback so I can't wait to wear it out.
Here's a look I was very anxious to show off, because neon green is one of my favorite colors. It is kind of difficult to say which piece of the outfit is the star, since the top, the shoes, the necklace, and even the nails all scream "LOOK AT ME!", but I would have to say for me it is the top, which is my first buy from O Pium, an awesome boutique with the most unique and attention grabbing clothing and accessories you'll ever find in Puerto Rico. It might sound exaggerated, but that's how much I loved it, and for that I have to thank Jana Rose Carrero from OJ and Cigs, for posting a fabulous purse from that boutique and making me find out more about it. The only piece of this outfit you have seen before is the pair of BCBG neon pointed toe pumps I got at Marshalls for a steal. The pants are new from Aeropostale, and they're so comfortable; I was told twice that they looked like work out pants, but I worked those work out pants! Finally the statement colored rhinestone necklace is from Valija Gitana. I wore this super bright look to Plaza las Américas and later to Old San Juan where I hung out with friends at La Taverna Lúpulo, a great place to have a beer and take pictures because of the awesome wall decorations like the one you might have seen in my Instagram with all the beer quotes. One of my favorites was from Winston Churchill: "I may be drunk, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."
Well here I am writing to you incredibly sunburned and procrastinating on an important project, but posting is like my brain food, without doing it I cannot study or do any kind of school work, so here it goes. I wore this on Saturday to a very lovely brunch at Abracadabra in the Ponce de León Avenue in Santurce, which is filled with street art like the one you see here. Recently there was an event I wish would have attended called Santurce Es Ley, which was precisely about contributing to the embellishment of the city with amazing art, and when I say amazing I mean HUGE murals like the ones I'm showing here, credited to elnuevodia.com. Anyway, the place where I had my brunch with Texi and a few friends was amazing, I loved the food, the coffee, the environment, and best of all the Nutella, yum. After eating we all went to El Morro in Old San Juan to fly kites, which was so much fun even in heels and with the powerful sun burning my skin without any protection. I wore to this beautiful day a new sweater from Ann Taylor Loft, which I bought at the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets. The top is from Urban Outfitters, the only piece of clothing I have from there since there is no store here in Puerto Rico and I got it on my trip to Miami last summer (lots of great memories with it). The shorts are from American Eagle Outfitters, the sandals that you saw on my last look are from Valija Gitana and the purse that you also saw in that look is from Shoedazzle. I accessorized the look with an arm full of bracelets of different colors and designs, some from Aeropostale, and the rest were handmade. And now, more pictures, which you might have seen in my Instagram, but for those who don't follow me there find me @fridalorraine.
Well here's a look I should have posted before "No Church in the Wild" since I wore it last Friday to see the movie Trance at the Fine Arts Cafe in the Popular Bank Center, which I love so much because of the comfy leather seats, the yummy desserts and obviously the amazing foreign movies you can only watch there. The film was very good, I definitely recommend it, but be prepared to have your brain tied up in knots. The star of this look is my new bag from Shoedazzle, which I got with their awesome Daily Fix sale and the VIP membership that they have for special customers like me. I was wearing a new top I got from American Eagle Outfitters on sale too, that same Friday I had gone to the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets in Barceloneta so I got a few other things you'll also be seeing here soon. The high waisted bird print shorts and the snake sandals are both from Valija Gitana and the accessories are from Charlotte Russe, except for the arrow ring, which is from Seven by Lu. As always, enjoy and TGIF!
