Finally I can catch a breath and spread a little fashion love this week. This look is what I wore last Saturday for a family gathering to celebrate my grandparent's 55th wedding anniversary. The star of this look I would say is the statement necklace from Forever 21 that looks like something from Transformers. Along with this I wore a black fedora from American Eagle Outfitters, grey top from Marshall's, Kylie boyfriend jeans from Aéropostale, and studded black boots from Zara. In these photos you can tell my hair is looking more red, which i mentioned in my last post that was one the changes for this new semester. The other change I mentioned, which was the new job at Aon is looking very good, I am really liking the place. Also, I would like to add that I started taking sewing classes so i can take my love for fashion to the next level. I am so excited and cannot wait to make my own clothes! That's all for now, enjoy this look and have a great Labor Day Weekend.

Hey fellow Sequin Visioners! I bet you are thinking I've gone grunge since I've posted a couple of looks wearing plaid shirts, and the last look with the denim overalls from Nasty Gal was the grungiest yet. The only things missing to have a complete look for that trend are all in this one: Converse sneakers, a perfect pair of vintage high waisted denim cut-off shorts from Ouna's Closet, and a top that says it all with "90's Kid" from Charlotte Russe. The plaid shirt from Aéropostale was on my look "Let it be" and the sunglasses have also been seen in other looks of mine. I wore this on Tuesday for the first day of my new semester at Sagrado, which is filled with all sorts of changes now that I added a minor in Digital Journalism and started a full time job at Aon Hewitt as a Customer Service Representative for which I had to change all my classes to night sections. Another change (although not that dramatic) is my hair, which is now with a lighter ombré and redish highlights. The first day of training for my new job was this Thusday, and even though I am little nervous about how hectic this semester is going to be I am really liking this new job. I hope you enjoy this look and I look forward to keep posting even with the new busy schedule. This is a look I could not wait any longer to show, not only because its about the overalls trend, but also because it is about my first purchase from Nasty Gal. I found these overalls at a huge sale NG was having for only $24. I had already bought the perfect crop top for it at Charlotte Russe, and to dress it up a little I wore the cobalt sandals from La Defensa, along with the blue plaid shirt from American Eagle Outfitters that I can't stop wrapping around my waist. This look was for last Friday, which was another awesome day with my girls Ana and Viviana. We had lunch at P.F. Changs and later did some shopping (got a lot of amazing stuff, that I can't wait to show). Later I went out with Texi to Piñones where we had a perfectly criollo dinner with his boss and his family as a farewell now that Texi is starting an internship I am so excited about. The night did not end there though, after that we went to The Office and had a couple of beers with our other friends. It really was a great day, and I am so glad I was wearing such a comfortable trend. Well, today is officially the last day of summer for me now that tomorrow will be the first day of what I hope will be a quick semester. At least I was able to enjoy these last few days properly. This look here is what I wore on Thursday to Ocean Park with Ana and Viviana, who took these great pictures. I was wearing a borrowed Cynthia Rowley white embroidered top from my mother's closet, the oldest and most torn out pair of shorts I own, my Sora sandals from Shoedazzle, and my flower crown from Ouna's Closet all on top of a Victoria Secret striped bikini (that thankfully still fits perfectly after being my first swimsuit from VS). The day was perfect for some quality tanning, and it ended perfectly with great tasting burgers from Buns. The look and the day were so great that I had to name this look after a great new song, by none other than Lady Gaga. Enjoy! To finish off my posts from last week's adventures here I share the outfit I wore on Friday to see the Ropajes fashion show. This show included designs by Namibia Viera, the daughter of Vilma Martínez who is the founder of Ropajes. They have both worked on a number of projects for plays, films, TV, and of course their own collections, which are amazing. The main event of the show was the presentation of the designs made by the students of Ropajes, which included boys and girls of ages 7 and up. All of them showed incredible talent, and you can tell the education they received was great. We also saw swimsuit designs by Nahir Sarí, Gisela Correa, Lorel Torres, and Shirley Fred, all graduated from Ropajes. Awards were given to these students who were judged by Cristie Trigo, Stylist for CARAS magazine, renowned designer David Antonio, and avowed Top Model and owner of Element Agency, Ann La Place. For this great event I wore a new fine china print pencil skirt from Forever 21, and my neon top from Opium you also saw in this look. The perfect shoes for this look were of course my cobalt sandals with the chunky heel from La Defensa, which you can see here. I was also wearing accessories from Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Aldo. After the show Ana and I picked up Texi and we went to Yaya's as we were dying of hunger so the wait for the sushi to reach the table felt like forever, but at least we ended the night right. The other pictures I'm sharing with you are from the weekend, which I spent it in Guanica. If you follow me onInstagram you might have seen these already, if you're not following me what are you waiting for? Enjoy these anyway! Continuing on the looks I wore last week, here is the one for last Thursday. On this day I went to have lunch at Perurrican with my great grandfather, which is always a treat and a yummy experience. I had what I always order there which is the ceviche (just mentioning it makes my mouth water). I definitely recommend it! I was wearing a striped dress from Charlotte Russe, a new palm tree print shirt and hat from American Eagle Outfitters, and the Isabel Marant inspired sandals you saw in my look "Back in Black". This look is still pretty summery and it was perfect for the strong sun that was out that day. There are still more looks from last week to come, enjoy this one in the mean time. Last week was one filled with all sorts of activities that left me with no time for a post, but finally I can share with you all that I did and the looks that I wore, so prepare yourselves for a long post. First I am sharing with you a look I wore on Wednesday to have lunch with my two best friends Ana and Viviana at Macaroni Grill. I was wearing my white cotton dress from Charlotte Russe, a new Aeropostale plaid shirt, new boots from Zara, my Aldo Miyata bag, and a few new accessories like my OMG midi ring from Aldo, an arrow bracelet and a hanger necklace from Forever 21. After having lunch and doing a little shopping at Plaza las Américas we went to Ben and Jerry's where I took the picture above, and also where I got the name for this look (notice all The Beatles posters). I wasn't completely satisfied with it so I also took a few pictures back home. After that Vivi and I had a few beers along with Texi and a few friends at The Office. I am also including here a few pictures of the awesome adventure Texi and I had last Sunday, August 4 at the Camuy River Cave and La Cueva del Indio in Arecibo. The day was so beautiful and the sites were even more. It might have been fun to do it in a group, but it was so special just the two of us, and I can't wait to do something like that again. Internal tourism is so important, especially in a island like Puerto Rico, where it's size does not limit the great diversity of ecosystems. We have amazing rivers, tropical forests, mountains, caves, beaches, and even deserts to explore right here at such an easy to reach distance we should all take advantage of. So to all the local and non local tourists: get out there, but for now enjoy the pictures ;) The rest of the looks and stories of last week are to be continued... This Wednesday I went once again to Plaza las Américas, but this time it was just to see Grownups 2, which was pretty hilarious. I wore this all black look that included a pleather peplum top from Charlotte Russe, a pair of black high waisted shorts from Forever 21, and the newest addition to my shoe closet, which is a pair of gladiator-ish black studded sandals. I bought them on Ebay as I searched for the most similar to the Isabel Marant sandals that I have seen throughout the blog scene (Sincerely Jules, Song of Style, and The Blond Salad) Obviously I could not afford the $1,035 pair that you can buy at Net-a-porter (the ones in the picture below), so I got the pair you see on me for $25 instead. At least, a girl with non-designer affordability like me can still be ahead of the trends, thanks to Ebay. They were not easy to find, but with enough determination and a quick click you can them too. Enjoy! This Monday I was invited to a special shopping event for Aeropostale called Aero Rocks Fashion at Plaza las Américas. Luckily I had done a "little" shopping the day before at the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets in Barceloneta and got this awesome T-shirt you see here (I also got new sneaks, Aldo accessories, and Charlotte Russe tops). I have to give credit to my friend Stella who found the tee and immediately thought of me (if you see my instagram, you'll understand, you might think I use an excessive amount of hashtags). Along with the tee I wore my K-mart almost boyfriend jeans, a Sirens blazer, Charlotte Russe shoes, and Aldo bag. The event was awesome, there were so many offers and I even got a $10 gift card just because. I got a lot of things that are perfect for the new semester, but I'll probably show them here before it even starts. I also could not help going to Zara and got a few things there as well. This week I had quite a shopping spree at those places and also a little bit online. Now it's time to calm the shopping nerves down and get to putting together many awesome outfits. Another credit I have to give Stella is for these awesome pictures, thank you so much! To all of my readers, enjoy! |
