Here is the look I mentioned would also have new shoes! They are also from Shoedazzle and I also fell in love not just with the style, but the color, which I thought would be more like burgundy, but ended up looking more like oxblood, which has a little more purple. Still the shoes looked great with my faux leather pants from Forever 21, a burgundy top from Banana Republic, the beautiful black belt with the gold plate from Charlotte Russe, along with gold accessories and my Aldo bag. I wore this to work last Saturday, after which I went to Cabo Rojo with Texi and some of his friends. I had an an amazing time and I can't wait to do it again.

I just love wearing new shoes, well who doesn't? These are from the latest purchase at Shoedazzle.com. I had seen a similar pair that were Gucci and purple with the golden strap just like this one, but I loved this color even more, especially because it's the color of the year 2013, as named by the authority of color Pantone. Since it is such a springy color I decided to pair it with a floral print, and the shorts from Charlotte Russe that I've had since I started buying clothes there, were perfect. The top I wore is from Forever 21, and it was the exact same color of the shoes (lucky me!) Finally, my favorite part, gold, gold and more gold accessories! I was wearing a gold watch, spiked bracelet and gold rings from Charlotte Russe, and the emerald and gold Gucci inspired bracelets I got from one of my favorite thrift stores, my grandmother's closet. Those bracelets were actually my mother's...once (not anymore!) I wore this look for the holiday employee party of Charlotte Russe, which was in Isla Verde at a place called Taiguey. I had never been there, but I definitely liked it. They had a live band, good food and good happy hours! I hope you enjoy this look as much as I did. The next one has new shoes in it too, can't wait to show you!
Here is what I wore last Friday for the ever famous Calles de San Sebastián, another Christmas holiday tradition in Puerto Rico, or another excuse to get really drunk (though I did not do that). I went with Texi on train and bus. I think we spent more time trying to get to the San Sebastián than actually spending time there. Still, I had a pretty good time with him and his friends when we finally found them. I was wearing a wolf print muscle tee from Zara, high waisted denim shorts from Seven by Lu, thigh-length grey tights from Romwe and black military boots from Charlotte Russe. Also, the bangle with spikes that I'm wearing was a gift from my grandmother Mamia (my father's mother, who has amazing taste in jewelry) that she got at a store called Tiffany's Plaza (don't confuse it with the real Tiffany's). I took these pictures in the back of my back yard (looks like actual wilderness doesn't it?) And I liked so many of the pictures I'll post them all. Enjoy my fellow readers!
Meet Perla! This lilttle pretty kitten was found around my great grandfather's house, where it was almost hit by a car. Now it seems she has a new home, where there are three dogs (I still don't know how that is going to work out). For now she sleeps with me in my room, although she doesn't really sleep at all and keeps me up all night. I've not only been taking care of her, but also I've been hiding her (not an easy job). Now to the outfit, which I wore yesterday to work is mostly from where I work, Charlotte Russe. The top, which I had just bought the day before has an amazing back so I decided to make my hair into a bun with the upside down french braid. Since I was wearing my hair up and the top has gold I saw the perfect opportunity to wear the gold statement earrings from Charlotte Russe and the rest of the accessories were, of course, gold. I wanted to be comfortable for work so I wore the K-mart jeans (yes they are from there), which I saw on Who What Wear that apparently these type of jeans, the slouchy cuffed ones, are replacing the skinny's for this season. And to add a little bit of color and print to the outfit I wore the leopard loafers that are also from Charlotte Russe.
The tittle says it all, my day on Monday (yes a Monday!) was like a little peace of paradise. I spent the whole day with my best friends Vivi and Ana. First we went to the beach in Isla Verde where we had a "very nice view" (if you have been to the beaches in P.R. you know your bound to find beautiful people there), but I was only looking for my girlfriends (I already have a permanent great view with my bf). The day was perfect to get a nice tan, though I got sunburned a little more than I wanted. After the beach we were starving so we wanted to got to Old San Juan, but first we had to make a pit stop at the postal office, which thanks to Vivi's Siri we got lost trying to find it. When we finally got to Old San Juan we were so hungry we could barely think so we went to one of the first places we saw, which was an old diner called La Mallorca. We finished just in time for the sunset to take some pictures around the streets filled with Adoquines, the blue colored bricks on the roads, and bright colored Spanish buildings. We had a picture of the three of us taken by a tourist who was very friendly and stayed talking to us until it got dark. Even though we did not get to take as many pictures, the conversation was very interesting so we did not mind at all. Now if you've been wondering what I was wearing, it was a pair of high waisted denim shorts from the new store in Plaza las Américas called Seven by Lu, which I have fallen madly in love with. The white and gold arrow ring (you might have seen it in Instagram) is from that store too. I was also wearing a white crochet crop top from Forever 21 and the leopard printed purse you see was borrowed from Ana. Here are some pictures of our day at the beach, enjoy!
Here I go again with some Lana Del Rey. This time for a look I wore to go to Casa Lola with Vivi, Ana and Texi. From the moment I bought this dress I knew it would look so girly chic with a pink statement necklace, but I also loved how it looked with a leopard infinity scarf and boots for a comfortable work outfit. The dress is from Charlotte Russe and I not only loved the stripes, but I loved the neckline even more, it is like a racer back and front. The necklace and the purse are also from Charlotte Russe, and the shoes, which you might have seen in my "Candy Colored Christmas" look are from shoedazzle. I had a craving to go to Casa Lola, not just because I love the food there, but also because I miss the people and how well they treat me there. I did not get any special treatment this time (by that I mean free stuff), but I did not go there for that so I didn't mind. I shared a risotto with "chicharrón volao'", which is crunchy pork rinds, the best sangria in Puerto Rico (seriously you have to try it) and for dessert a yummy warm chocolate cake filled with fudge and topped with vanilla ice cream. Sorry if I got you hungry, hopefully you'll have a craving for more of my looks ;) Here more pictures.
On Friday night I went out again with my best friend Vivi to the area of Condado in San Juan, which is where the restaurant I use to work in is located, still I had not hung out there in quite a long time. We went bar hopping starting with El Barril, then to one of my favorites, Small Bar. The name says it all, but like Texi said they took advantage of what would seem like a defect and used it for their name. I like the place very much not only because it sells craft beers, but also because they play a lot of indie music and its definitely not a place for the annoying "cacos". Then we spent the rest of the night at Waiters, another place I really like also because of the music and its another place of reunion for my high school class. I was wearing new high waisted printed shorts from Valija Gitana, new thigh-length grey tights from Romwe, the vintage beige button down top I got from my grandmother's closet (you might have seen it in my "Smooth running faux leather" look), black lace up booties from Charlotte Russe and my faithful Miyata bag from Aldo. I went very matchy-matchy with the beige's and blacks for this look and even matched the print from the pants with the earrings. I had an amazing time with my friend and my boyfriend; here are some pictures of the night that I think you might also enjoy.
Finally! I have been waiting to wear this look since I bought the camouflage pants at Zara and I've been waiting for the perfect outfit to wear the gold sequin tank top from Forever 21 since I started the blog, hence the name of the look. To complete the look I wore a pair of open toe snake sandals from Valija Gitana and gold accessories. I wore this look to go to Shannan's, a very popular Irish pub in Puerto Rico, on Wednesday night. I love the place because it is the perfect hangout for college students, usually its a place of reunion for high school classes, and there is great music usually played by a live band. Since the place is a little casual (though most girls go dressed in shorts and heels like they are hunting for boys) I added to the outfit an old Pepsi chambray top I found in my grandmother's closet. I only wore it tied around me, because if not the sequins would get lost. I hope you enjoy my first Sequin Vision look!
Here is what I would call a Lana Del Rey inspired look, I guess it's because of the flower print on the leggings so I named it after the song "This is what makes us girls". You can expect to see a couple of other looks named after other songs of hers. I wore this to see Les Misérables, which I thought was incredible. I love nineteenth century french history movies like Marie Antoinette and musicals. Also Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway's acting was simply amazing! I was wearing a brand new Zara spiked muscle tee in mint, which I got at a great sale they were having along with the spiked turban you saw in the last look. I was also wearing new flower printed leggings from PacSun. I bought them already thinking about wearing a mint top and the rest of the look just fell into place with the spiked Lita lace up boots from Zooshoo. As always, until the next look, enjoy this one with a couple more pictures.
On Saturday I went to the Electric Holiday event in the Convention Center where Deadmau5 was the main event. I knew I had to wear the Romwe Sunset Glow Print Leggings. This time I wore the Taraka Sneakers from Aldo again, the Joy Division T-shirt I recently got at Hot Topic, and the amazing spiked turban from Zara. I had an amazing time and Deadmau5 was just awesome! Here are some pictures of the event, they were taken with my iPhone so they are not the greatest quality. Still, I hope you enjoy them, until the next look!
